Time Capsule - Share Your Memories What does Tufts mean to you?
What do you imagine people will find intriguing 50 years from now?
As part of Tufts' 150th anniversary, the Tufts University Alumni
Association (TUAA) invites students, graduates, friends, faculty,
staff, and other community members to reflect on these and other
aspects of the Tufts experience as part of a time capsule celebrating
Tufts' 150th anniversary in 2002.
An initiative of the TUAA Traditions Committee, the
time capsule will be dedicated in spring 2002 and opened in 50 years
on the occasion of Tufts' 200th birthday. The time capsule's theme:
"Jumbo Never Forgets," is a direct appeal to Tufts students and
graduates for memories, suggestions and contributions.
To participate or for more information, mail in or
fax a special "memory card." The card also appears on page 59 of
the fall issue of Tufts Magazine, or you can pick one up at Alumni
House. You may also send a contribution directly to the Tufts University
Alumni Association, ATTN: Time Capsule, Alumni House, 95 Talbot
Avenue, Medford, MA 02155, or email timecapsule@tufts.edu. Donations
of historic artifacts are also welcome.
All contributions will be considered and will be
placed, if not in the time capsule, in the Tufts Permanent Collection
in the Office of Digital Collections and Archives. Selections from
memory cards may also appear in Tufts Magazine and on the 150th
website.
For further updates on the Tufts 150th celebration,
please visit the official Tufts 150th website. As of January 2002,
this site, currently an extensive calendar, will become part of
a much larger and interactive website that celebrates Tufts past,
present and furture achievements. Bookmark it now!
