Welcome Back Seniors Reception: A time to reconnect

September 27, 2005 -- The Welcome Back Seniors Reception was held on September 6, 2005 on the Gifford House lawn on a beautiful early autumn day.

This annual event, sponsored in part by the President’s Office, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Student Activities, gives seniors an opportunity to re-connect with their classmates, many of whom have spent their junior year studying abroad.

This year, more than 900 seniors attended the event, along with President and Mrs. Bacow. As they mingled with the crowd, the Bacows offered some words of advice and encouragement to the seniors as they embark on their final year.

Senior Mollie Wertlieb enjoyed her time at the reception and was happy to catch up with old (and new) friends.

"I thought the reception was wonderful! I caught up with people I hadn't seen since freshman year and also met some new people. President Bacow asked if we would be interested in having an event like that every Tuesday evening...my answer is yes!"
