Fever Pitch 2006: Boston Tufts Alliance forms softball league

February 13, 2006--The Boston Tufts Alliance (BTA) invites alumni of all skill levels to join their inaugural softball league. In conjunction with the coed, slow pitch softball league at Boston Ski and Sports Club, the team will play once a week (M-F) throughout the greater Boston area, beginning in April and ending in August.

At last fall's softball outing, the BTA got a taste of recreational sports when they teamed up with Boston University and Johns Hopkins alumni at Cassidy Fields in Cleveland Circle. Despite threats of rain, the co-sponsored alumni event attracted a great turnout, and the success encouraged the BTA to form a league this spring.

No experience is necessary to join — the team is all about fun (with a little bit of winning mixed in). Estimated cost is $40 per person, based on the expense to register with Boston Ski and Sports Club.
