Arts, Sciences, & Engineering Homecoming 2007 a great success!
October 12, 2007--Alumni, students, and friends who filled J-Field on October 6 enjoyed one of the warmest Homecomings in recent memory. As temperatures soared into the 80s, tailgaters prepared their gastric delights while volunteers with the Tufts University Alumni Association (TUAA) made sure water bottles were plentiful under the Jumbo tent.
Creativity abounded in Kid’s Corner, as future Jumbos constructed Trick-o-Treat bags, decorated pumpkins and had their faces painted. At the other end of the tent, alumni and students were treated to a great feast: TUAA served up more than a thousand hot dogs and chicken sandwiches, some 200 gallons of New England clam chowder, dozens of cookies, (including blue Jumbos), and bushels of apples.
Jumbo teams took on the Bowdoin Polar Bears, with victories on the football field (21-13) and in women’s soccer (4-1). Read more on the Tufts Athletic website.
Thanks to all staff who made this Homecoming such a great success -- great weather, great food, great alumni, and great teams!
