Association of Black Alumni
The Tufts Association of Black Alumni (TABA) will strive to maintain the bond between Black alumni and Tufts University by creating a community of alumni who continually develop programs and events that encourage prolonged involvement with the greater Tufts community. Our organization will also promote diversity and create an environment of change through its involvement with other Tufts undergraduate organizations and alumni chapters. This organization will advocate on the behalf of black students for improved resources that will improve upon the Tufts experience. The Tufts Association of Black Alumni (TABA) will be a constant resource for all students of African descent. By virtue of our student and post-Tufts life experiences, we have the unique ability -- and responsibility -- to nurture a Black student population confident and knowledgeable enough to assert their rights to a Tufts education without hindrance, in a positive environment that values and promotes diversity. Together, we can effectively advocate the development of a fully equipped infrastructure to realize this vision.
