Timothy Brooks
Title: Director of Alumni Relations
Joined Tufts: 1999
Tim has been at Tufts since September 1999, when he succeeded Ron Brinn as Director of Alumni Relations. From 1994-1999, he was the Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations at Fordham University in New York City, and from 1985-1994, Vice President of Field Operations at The Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc. in Columbus. Tim oversees a staff of 16, to keep alumni feeling connected to their alma mater and to each other, through programs, benefits, services, events, volunteer opportunities and organizations. Tim graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Music Education in 1979, and a Master of Arts in 1983. As a Rotary Foundation Graduate Scholar, in 1984, he received a Graduate Diploma in Performance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Brigid Burke
Title: Alumni Relations Officer, Regional Programs
Joined Tufts: 2007
Brigid joined the Office of Alumni Relations in October, 2007. She works with 17 alumni chapters throughout the country engaging alumni by planning events and coordinating programs. Prior to coming to Tufts, Brigid spent time teaching English in Issan, Thailand and worked as a Development Coordinator at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Gretchen Dobson
Title: Associate Director, Domestic and International Programs
Joined Tufts: 2002
Gretchen joined Tufts in October, 2002, after a professional internship with the Boston College Alumni Association and several years in residence life, student activities and new student orientation. Working with the Outreach and Engagement Team and other departments such as Development and Undergraduate Admissions, her primary responsibilities include directing the overall strategy for engaging both domestic and international alumni through the TUAA regional chapter network. Gretchen graduated with a B.A., cum laude from Boston College in 1991. She received her M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College in 1995.
Ryan Earley, A99
Title: Alumni Relations Officer, Campus Constituencies
Joined Tufts: 2008
Ryan joined the Office of Alumni Relations in January of 2008 after spending more than eight years in the realm of collegiate conferencing. In his former roles, he specialized in event planning, marketing, sales and operations management. His focus is now on alumni shared interest groups and he works with established groups on programming and with new groups on developing organizational structure. Ryan also works with committees to plan reunions each May.
Mini Jaikumar, G97
Title: Associate Director, Internal Operations and Association Administration
Joined Tufts: 2006
Mini, G96 joined the Office of Alumni Relations in April 2006. Mini focuses on the Tufts University Alumni Association (TUAA) facilitating the work of the volunteer leadership and committees of the Tufts Alumni Council, a body of 300 alumni elected by their peers. Prior to joining Tufts, Mini was the Development Director of the Media and Technology Charter High School in Boston, a school she helped to start.
Jessica Johnson Sherwood
Title: Administrative Coordinator
Joined Tufts: September 3, 2002
Jessica joined the Alumni Relations team in the fall of 2002 as a recent college graduate. As a direct liaison to the Alumni Council, she provides administrative and logistical support to its sixteen standing committees and committee chairs. Jessica also works closely with the Awards Committee as they determine those persons who shall be recipients of Senior Awards, Distinguished Service Awards and Service Citations and coordinates their appropriate presentations.
Jonathan J. Kaplan, A96
Title: Associate Director, Campus Constituencies
Joined Tufts: June 2005
Jonathan J. Kaplan focuses on events and programming for Campus Constituencies, including students, young alumni, alumni shared interest groups (special constituencies), and Boston-area alumni. He is also responsible for planning on-campus receptions and lectures, as well as Homecoming and Alumni Weekend events each year. Before joining Alumni Relations, Jonathan worked in Human Resources with a concentration in recruiting, training, and organizational development. He was employed previously at Tufts as Assistant Director for Internships and Employer Outreach in the Office of Career Services.
Sarah J. Keleher
Title: Alumni Relations Assistant
Joined Tufts: 2006
Sarah has been with Tufts since July 2006, joining the University as a recent graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She works directly with Tufts alumni and also supports Alumni House staff, working with teams on regional programs, constituency relations, and special events.
Karen Micale
Title: Reunion Program Coordinator
Joined Tufts: 1987
Karen collaborates with the Outreach and Engagement team to organize class reunions celebrations. She also manages many components of the Alumni Weekend programming. Additionally, Karen works with Tufts University Alumni Association committees, including Homecoming and Special Constituencies.
Amy Miller
Title: Administrative Assistant
Joined Tufts: 2006
Amy joined the Alumni Relations Office in the spring of 2006 after spending a number of years in law offices in Minnesota, Ohio, and Virginia. She has also picked up some experience in development/advancement in the course of her travels. Her current responsibilities involve assisting Tim Brooks and Usha Sellers with anything required to make the work go smoothly.
Calicia Mullings
Title: Alumni Relations Officer, Regional Programs
Joined Tufts: 2005
Calicia joined Tufts in October 2005. Today she helps create and grow the regional programming for regional alumni. Her primary responsibilities include planning events and coordinating programs, and working with a group of 20 regional chapters. Calicia comes to us with over five years experience in the areas of Admissions, Career Services, and Grant Writing.
Julie O'Connor
Title: Assistant Director, Alumni Volunteer Relations
Joined Tufts: 2003
Julie joined Tufts in March, 2003. In a newly created role within the Office of Alumni Relations, Julie is responsible for developing and implementing a new program that will focus on the recruitment, training, recognition and retention of alumni volunteers. Prior to joining Tufts, Julie worked at The Gillette Company for several years in the areas of meeting management and in employee services.
Usha Nand Sellers, J57, G58
Title: Program Director, Travel-Learn Program
Joined Tufts: 2000
Usha Sellers joined the Alumni Relations staff after extensive experience in teaching, academic administration, and international programs. She is responsible for developing and managing the Travel-Learn Program.
Samantha L. Snitow, A02
Title: Alumni Relations Officer
Joined Tufts: 2007
Samantha joined the Alumni Relations team in January of 2007. An alumna from the class of 2002, she works primarily on Young Alumni and Student Programming, and serves as the staff liaison to the Boston Tufts Alliance. Samantha is also the staff liaison to the Boston Active Citizens and the Association of Tufts Alumnae (ATA), and works with committees to plan the Foster Children’s Holiday Party and class reunions for Alumni Weekend.
Thomas Williams, A92
Title: Senior Associate Director, Outreach & Engagement
Joined Tufts: 1997
Tom collaborates with the Tufts University Alumni Association and the Outreach and Engagement Team to develop meaningful programming for alumni worldwide. This is done through Alumni Weekend, class reunion, shared interest groups and regional programming. He is the direct liaison to the Tufts University Alumni Association committees for Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. Tom is also an elected member of the Tufts Alumni Council.
