Milestones

  • 1892: Women admitted to Tufts
  • 1905: ATA established to provide link between Tufts alumnae and female students
  • 1910: Jackson College established
  • 1910: ATA incorporated March 30
  • 1923: ATA commences vital role in Tufts Foundation Campaign
  • 1927: ATA established the Alumnae Hall Fund to build a gathering place for students and alumnae
  • 1933: Alumnae Prize, first ATA scholarship, established
  • 1954: ATA's Golden Anniversary
  • 1955: Dedication of Alumnae Hall - culminating more than 25 years of ATA fundraising
  • 2001: ATA introduces Women’s Leadership Forum. The Forum presents successful Tufts alumnae not only from the School of Arts & Sciences but from the professional schools as well. We have held five successful Women’s Leadership Forums in Boston and New York.
  • 2005: ATA celebrates Centennial Anniversary!
