Donate Your Time

Whatever your time, talent or interest, Tufts has an opportunity for you. Alumni increasingly play a key role in defining Tufts' success for future generations and promoting its achievements; please take a moment to consider how you could be involved.

Alumni Elections - Your vote counts. Help shape the future of the University by voting in elections for Alumni Council members and Alumni Trustees. The 2008 Alumni Election is open - vote online. You must be a registered member of the Tufts online community to vote online. Register today or retrieve your username and password. Candidate profiles and complete election information will be available on the alumni website throughout the election period. Thank you to everyone who participated in the most recent election.

TUAA Committees - Alumni volunteers research and implement important initiatives in the areas of career services, student issues, Alumni Weekend, and Homecoming to name a few. Read more about each of the TUAA committees, and find an area of activity that best suits your interests and talents. For further information, contact Mini Jaikumar in the Office of Alumni Relations at mini.jaikumar@tufts.edu or 617-627-3021 or contact the committee chairs directly.

TUAA Chapters - Become active in your local chapter and be involved in organizing events in your area. Check the TUAA chapter directory for information about an alumni chapter in your area. Contact the chapter leader for more information.

Professional and Graduate School Alumni Organizations - Keep in touch with your school. Professional and graduate school alumni are active in a variety of organizations that help foster connections among alumni and offer professional networking and development services. Be sure to check out your school's alumni website for more information.

Shared Interest Groups
Become an active member of the shared interest alumni group of your choice, or start one of your own with fellow alumni involved in the same profession, major, or cultural group. Attend or help plan social, cultural, and educational events and connect with like-minded alumni. For more information, follow the link above, or contact Jonathan Kaplan, in the office of Alumni Relations at jonathan.kaplan@tufts.edu. the email.

Class Reunion Committees - Help plan special events for your class to attend during Alumni Weekend. Contact Thomas Williams in the Office of Alumni Relations at thomas.williams@tufts.edu or 617-627-3279 to volunteer.

Volunteer Fundraising - Become a member of the new Tufts Fund for Arts, Sciences & Engineering Gift Officer Program, a volunteer-based annual giving fundraising initiative that allows you to develop relationships with alumni while demonstrating your support for the continued growth of Tufts University. For more information about the program or get involved contact Gina A. DeSalvo, Associate Director, Tufts Fund for AS&E at gina.desalvo@tufts.edu or 617-627-0644.

Tufts Alumni Admissions Program (TAAP) - Become an alumni interviewer in your region. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions would like to provide each applicant to the first-year class with an opportunity to meet with an alumni interviewer. If you are eager to share your Tufts experience with a prospective Tufts student, you may visit the TAAP website or contact Susan Garrity Ardizzoni, Director of Admission Outreach, at susan.ardizzoni@tufts.edu or 617-627-2762.

Distinguished Service Awards - Help us recognize the achievements and dedication of Tufts alumni. Nominate an alumnus/a or a member of the Tufts community for his or her dedicated service to Tufts, community, or profession. The TUAA Awards Committee selects several outstanding alumni each year. Award winners are feted at a gala affair in the spring. All alumni are eligible to submit nominations for a DSA. Nominations are accepted in the fall of every year. Return your nomination form by November 15. Contact Jessica Johnson at j.johnson@tufts.edu for more information.

Foster Children's Holiday Party - Help us bring the joy and magic of the holiday season to hundreds of Boston-area foster children. Since 1988, Tufts alumni have generously supported this event held annually in December. There are many ways to help: assist the day of the party, contribute a new unwrapped gift, make a financial contribution or help wrap gifts at Alumni House. More information will be available on the calendar as the event draws near. Learn more about how you can be involved this year by emailing FCHP@tufts.edu.
