Jell-o as Art

Liz Hickok, SMFA97—whose Jell-O sculptures have won such kudos as the Food Network’s “Play With Your Food” Award—views the jiggly dessert as an especially felicitous medium for cityscapes. “We think of our cities as these permanent, stable environments, but really they are changing all the time and are very fragile and fleeting,” she explains.
