Wanderers in Space: Exploration and Discovery in the Solar System
This course focuses on Space-age exploration of the planets and their moons.
Topics will include:
- men on the moon
- robot landings on Venus and Mars
- cratering and Volcanism
- possibility of life on Mars
- Earth's global warming and the ozone hole
- liquid hydrogen and helium rain; magnetic fields
Textbook used is Wanderers in Space
Intended for undergraduates not planning to major in the physical
sciences
Pre-requisite: algebra and gemometry
