Tufts-in-Kyoto reserves space for one or two outstanding Tufts students to spend one year at Kyoto University. Two semesters of Japanese and a high GPA are required. One scholarship will be given (Japanese nationals can apply but cannot receive a scholarship). For the Tufts-in Kanazawa option, as many as six Tufts students may go, with scholarships from the Japanese Ministry of Education guaranteed for at least two students.
