WELCOME TO TUFTS MUSIC, one of the largest and most active departments on the Tufts campus. Through our vast program of classes, private study, and performance, you can explore and experience music in ways you can only begin to imagine. As an undergraduate or graduate, you can study musicology, ethnomusicology, theory, composition, and performance with talented and dedicated faculty. From the Middle East to Java, from the concert halls of Vienna to drumming and dance circles of Ghana, from Renaissance Venice to the modern computer lab, Tufts Music embraces music in forms from many different backgrounds, traditions, and cultures. We invite you to join us and take a course, become a major, our just experience a concert!
