Both people in each couple must meet these restrictions, and, in the case of a multi-dance event, both people must meet these restrictions for all of the dances in the event. Please do not "dance down" below your appropriate level. No double registration, i.e. if you dance Gold, you cannot also dance Open events. Registrations in one style do not influence another style.

In order to compete in Pre-Bronze, both dancers must have started dancing not earlier than Fall 2006
In order to compete in Bronze, both dancers must have started dancing not earlier that Fall 2005

Syllabi: The International syllabi are available from the USISTD. The American syllabi is restricted under all NDCA approved syllabi (which includes FADS, AMDS, DVIDA, USISTD, and NDCA
syllabi).
Pre-bronze dancers are limited to pre-bronze and bronze steps. All other levels should adhere to their respective steps.

Costumes: Newcomers (Pre-Bronze) are PROHIBITED to wear costumes on the dance floor. By "costume" we mean something that could only be found in a specialty store or made by hand. Alterations to make a piece of clothing fit are fine (of course), but alterations that radically change the shape of the outfit or add a major element (e.g. cutting a "tail" into a latin dress, gluing rhinestones on anything, sewing a boa to the hem of a dress) are not. This will be strictly enforced.

Shoes: It is mandatory that all competitors wear appropriate dance shoes on the dance floor. All shoes must have appropriate protection (e.g. Heel Caps) . All persons MUST REMOVE shoes that have TOUCHED SNOW & SALT.

Housing: Free housing with our lovely team members can be arranged on first come, first serve basis. Please email the Competition Coordinator to place your request by December 1st. Put in Subject Heading: Tufts Competition - Housing Request
