900 PM: Pizza and socialization
(yes we had pizza- now don't you wish had come?!)

First the usability lab is still in the works- Prat, Mike Mann, and Miguel
are spearheading the operataion.  It seems that finding an on campus
space is the main snag. Suggestions and insider knowlege as to where to
set it up are welcome.

Next, yours truly (Julie Guinn) is organizing a posse to go paint the
canon.  This is a once in a Tufts liftime experience, nobody should
gradute without doing this. If you're interested drop me line
(jguinn@emerald... blah blah). No date is set yet so if you have a
favorite day that you want to stay up till 3  and get crazy with some
latex (paint that is) do tell.  

Also the late, great designer Henry Dreyfuss who's hands molded many of
the objects in your mundane world is having a retrospective
show in NYC
and you all know what that means- ROAD TRIP!!!  If yer interested mail

For any one who hasn't seen our loooovely web site- you really should.  It
has a section about cool classes that make even cooler electives for human
factors majors.  Please add any classes you have taken that you think are
appropriate- mail goes to Todd Chapin and Mike M.

We are currently planning a lecture series at the end of the month
including speakers form AT&T and User Interface Engineering.  If you have
an idea for an interesting / willing speaker go heckle TChapin

OH OH (more reasons to come to every meeting)- we are thinking of
switching to a dues paying format regarding meeting attendence in order to
avoid budgetary problems.  The other choice is to have pot luck meetings
(kinda like hall snacks except with better people) If you have any
thoughts on this what so ever you can talk to Mary Townsend our financial
advisor (shes on emerald too)

The final piece of info is for anyone interested in a little degeneracy.
We need a table to go with our tack board (located in Anderson hall and
chock full o' interesting job offers etc.) So if any one can get us a
table (and we're not specifying how) that would be great.
