He considered the reliability of a questionnaire as a quantitative assessment of its consistency. Coefficient alpha can range from 0 (no reliability) to 1 (perfect reliability). Measures that can effect an individuals future, say an IQ test, should have a minimum reliability of .90. For other research or evaluation measurement , reliability should be .70 to .80.
