Human Factors Specialists

Novell is currently searching for experienced Human Factors Specialists
to join the team that is responsible for the User Interface for NetWare
Utilities. There are four positions open and they focus on the following-
1. Planning and prototyping - The successful candidate will have
experience in designing graphical user interfaces for commercial
products and be experienced with Windows, OS/2, Mac, and Unix.  This
position is located in San Jose, California.
2. Planning and prototyping - The successful candidate will have
experience in designing graphical user interfaces for commercial
products and be experienced with Windows, OS/2, Mac, and Unix.  This
position is located in Provo, Utah
3.  Usability testing - The successful candidate will conduct heuristic
evaluations of the user interface, as well as competitive product
functionality, ease-of-use comparisons, and bench marking.  This
position is located in San Jose, California.
4.  Graphical design - The successful candidate will have a strong
graphical arts background.  This position is located in Provo, Utah.

General skills required for the Human Factors Specialists positions
include:
 - MS, MA, or Ph.D. in Human Factors Engineering, Experimental
Psychology, Computer Science or related field
 - 5+ years experience in human-computer interface design and/or
usability evaluation; one year (out of 5) may be substituted with technical
writing/editing experience
 - Platform experience must include Windows (or significant GUI)
 - 5+ years experience with User Interface
 - Project Management experience
 - Excellent interpersonal and analytic skills
 - Ability to demonstrate aptitude for understanding computer applications
and operating systems - Ability to work well in a team situation
 - Ability to conduct research independently, and self-train.
 - Significant DESIGN or Human Factors experience with other GUI
platforms (OS/2, Mac, Unix)
 - Networking experience
