Human Factors/Usability Test Intern Opportunity

3Com Corporation (Santa Clara, CA site) has an opening for a summer intern
to assist with usability testing.  Student candidates should be working on
an advanced degree in Psychology, Human Factors or related discipline. 

3Com is among the world's largest and fastest growing companies in the
data networking industry.  3Com's Personal Connectivity Operations (PCOps)
continues to further its leadership position in the network adapter market
with a commanding 40% market share, more than three times that of our
nearest competitor. 

As part of the Software Marketing department within 3Com's PCOps
organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the usability test
process, with little supervision.  You will be testing hardware, software,
and product documentation.  Responsibilities include:  developing test
plans, recruiting testers, conducting the tests, and analyzing and writing
up the test results. 

To qualify, you must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
and the ability to effectively work with representatives from marketing,
engineering, technical publications, and customer support.  Work
experience in the data communications fields is a plus.
