The Visualization and Virtual Reality Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland is seeking talented computer scientists (BS, MS, PhD level) with research or development experience in the following areas: - Information visualization, especially 3-dimensional visualization - Intelligent collaborative computing and visualization - Computer-supported collaborative work (CSCW) - Data mining and visualization, information exploration - Test and evaluation methodologies especially for advanced user interfaces - Programming support for graphics, Web, VRML, and JAVA applications and/or and visualization packages These positions range from providing programming support to performing research in advanced human-computer interaction and developing associated evaluation methods and baseline reference software.
