JOB DESCRIPTION:

The IBM Web Externals Design & Development department in RTP, NC, has an 
immediate opening for a supplemental employee with Human Factors training.  
The candidate should have formal training (graduate students are acceptable) in 
Human Factors, Engineering Psychology or Industrial Ergonomics.  The position 
involves task analysis, user interface design, prototyping and usability evaluations 
of Internet / World Wide Web related software on a variety of operating systems.  

Formal Human Factors training is required.  Other "helpful" experiences include:

- Human Computer Interaction (HCI) training
- Internet, World Wide Web experience
- HTML Authoring
- Java programming (applet creation)
- Server administration  (Software)...   (Web Server admin. especially helpful)
- UNIX, NT, OS/2, or MVS experience helpful
- database skills

Length of Position:

6 months - 1 year, with the possibility of extension.  This position is immediately 
available and we will be working aggressively to fill this position.  This is a full 
time position (40 hours / week) but we will be willing to consider part-time 
employment for the right candidate.   Work will be performed in Research 
Triangle Park, NC.  The candidate will be responsible for relocation expenses.
