User-Interface Designers, Developers and Architects IBM Global Services is currently interviewing for UI architects, designers, and developers for our national Usability Engineering practice. Successful senior-level candidates will have: * Proven experience leading the user-interface design and development activities of large-scale software development efforts. * Experience applying a user-interface requirements, analysis, design, and development methodology to large-scale software development efforts. * Knowledge of and hands-on experience with user-interface evaluation techniques, including discount engineering approaches and usability lab testing. * Knowledge of and hands-on experience with rapid prototyping techniques, methodologies, and programming environments, preferably Visual Basic, VisualAge, or WindowBuilder Pro for Smalltalk. * Strong knowledge of user-interface design standards and their application, preferably Windows or CUA. * Masters or Ph.D. (preferred) in Human Factors, Industrial, Experimental, or Cognitive Psychology, or Computer Science. * Willingness to travel. * Experience designing and developing user-interfaces for object-oriented software (Smalltalk or C++, Java), including knowledge of use-case based requirements gathering and responsibility-driven design methodologies (preferred). * Professional Ergonomics or Human Factors certification (CPE or CHFP) (preferred). * Prior consulting experience (preferred).
