Human Factors Internship at Intel

The Intel OEM User Experience Group, in Hillsboro, OR, currently has one
internship position for a graduate student interested in human/computer
interaction. The internship program term is 3-12 months, generally
starting in June (flexible), and offers competitive salary, benefits,

As an intern you will work with our human factors engineers, information
engineers, marketing engineers, and software development engineers on
usability evaluation and HCI design. You will assist in conducting
usability studies, analyzing customer needs, and building/designing UI
prototypes in various phases of development.

REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Ph.D. or
Masters degree program in Psychology, Computer Science, Industrial
Engineering, or related discipline, with a primary focus on Human
Computer Interaction. Successful applicants should be nearing completion
of their degree program and fit the following profile:

-Must be able to work in a fast paced, challenging environment
-Flexible, organized, and attentive to details
-Knowledgeable in HCI, including usability evaluations, user and task
analysis, and design
-The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
-Experienced in empirical research and experimental design
-Excellent written and oral presentation skills
-Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
-Familiar with prototyping tools such as Visual Basic, HTML, Director,
Authorware, etc.
