Cadence Design Systems has openings for individuals interested in an
opportunity to learn first hand about the electronics industry while
designing the user interfaces for state-of-the-art tools used in
computer-aided electronic design. Usability engineers work closely with
product teams by participate in all stages from product conception
through development by conducting activities such as task analysis, high
and low fidelity prototyping, user interface specification development,
usability testing, and customer visits.

Individuals interested in the position should meet the following
requirements:

-  A degree in Human-Computer Interactions, Human Factors Engineering,
Psychology, Computer Science or a related field (MS preferred).
-  3-5 years experience (preferred).
-  Knowledge of methods used in Human-Computer Interaction, including
user and task analysis, design, and usability evaluations.
-  Good interpersonal communication skills, including interviewing,
listening, observing, and negotiation skills.
-  Good written and verbal skills
-  Ability to be flexible, organized and give attention to details
-  Prototyping skills or a desire to learn prototyping tools (Visual
Basic, VisualCafe, Toolbook, etc.)
