POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT:  SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST

Logicon Technical Services, Inc. (LTSI) is seeking a senior Human
Factors Engineer to support a variety of operator performance studies
conducted to facilitate the application of advanced
crewstation/workstation display and control concepts.  

This position will contribute to LTSI's technical and scientific support
for human engineering research and development within a U.S. Air Force
"superlab".


JOB LOCATION:

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
Dayton, Ohio
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
===============

Duties include 1.) Experimental design and execution of required
studies; 2.) Performing subject matter literature reviews; 3.) Report
writing and preparation of briefing materials; 4.) Preparation/quality
assessment of sensor imagery.

Additional tasks include proposal writing, preparing materials for
project reviews, conducting demonstrations and briefings, and
interacting with various customers. Opportunities exist for conference
presentations and journal publications. Some knowledge of Theory of
Signal Detection is helpful.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
=========================

A graduate degree is preferred in one of the following areas:

-- cognitive psychology
-- experimental psychology
-- human factors
-- or a related field

The successful candidate will have strong written and oral communication
skills.


CITIZENSHIP / RESIDENCY RESTRICTION:
===================================

Candidates for this position must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent
residents of the United States. 

This position is located in a facility for which a SECRET clearance is
required.  Ability to obtain a secret clearance is therefore a
requirement for the position.
