Job Description
Provide Usability Engineering process consultation to R&D and Learning
Products teams in SRSD as part of the Sonoma County Customer Usability
Department. Facilitate organization of usability cross-functional teams,
conduct and teach structured user needs analysis, perform usability
tests,facilitate the construction of  use models to help teams achieve
shared visions. Construct  usability prototypes. Act as agent of change
to help organization move toward a user centered model.

Marginal Responsibilities:
Participate in cross-functional improvement/productivity efforts.
Conduct seminars/courses in field of expertise. Conduct usability
research.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Cognitive Psychology/Computer
Science/Industrial Design or equivalent combination of education and
Experience.
Minimum five years of experience in applying Human Factors principles to
product research and design in the telecommunications or technical
software
development  fields. Must posses in depth knowledge of software design
and
usability evaluation techniques, perception, cognition, experimentation,
statistics and experience in facilitating customer needs analysis.

Desired Qualifications
Masters Degree or Ph.D. in Human Factors Engineering.
