Who Are We Looking For? Currently we are looking for people with a background in Cognitive Human Factors, Psychology, or a related area (preferably with education at a Masters level.) Experience in the design and evaluation of information or communications systems is a definite asset. Key skills include the ability to: Design questionnaires and qualitative information using software such as MS Excel, MS Access, StatSoft Statistica, SPSS Windows. Write, and integrate the work of other team members into, reports using MS Word. Search, review and integrate current literature and technical reports from diverse areas such as psychology, computer science, human factors, engineering. Analyse user information needs in complex occupational domains. Understand complex research design issues and develop practical solutions. Evaluate system or product usability using methods such as heuristic evaluations, focus groups, lab reviews, field reviews. Use HF/HCI guidelines to configure or evaluate interface issues. Familiarity with military (army, navy, airforce) environments an asset. You will need to be able to work under pressure, prioritise work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Frequent travel possible (including some weekends).
