Research experience in the area of human-computer interaction, computer supported co-operative work, requirements engineering would be particularly welcome though not essential. The research associateship is available within the Dependable Computing Systems Centre (DCSC) funded by British Aerospace and is available on a rolling contract. The research is concerned with the use of systems engineering representations of 'operator error' to support the specification and evaluation of safety critical interactive systems such as flight deck displays and controls. The research associate will work closely with existing members of a large inter-disciplinary research group. Salaries will be on the 1A scale (15,159-22,785 pounds).
