Pegasystems is "the leading provider of workflow automation solutions to large scale, information intensive industries, with special expertise in the financial services sector and related markets." In other words, we design and support software that makes banks, insurance companies, credit card corporations, telephone companies, and many other businesses work much more smoothly by automating repetitive work and creating well-designed user-interfaces for the work that requires a human operator. We became a public company in July 1996, and have been growing rapidly ever since. Over the last year, we have nearly doubled in size from 212 to 417 employees and have signed some exciting clients including First Data Resources (a giant in the back end credit card business - they support more banks in the US that issue credit cards than any other company) and Kaiser Permenente (our first delve into the insurance industry with this health care powerhouse). Because of the respect I have for students graduating with an Engineering Psychology degree, I wanted to be sure to pass along this job opportunity to students currently in your program. My group within Pegasystems is Market Strategy and Delivery. We are looking to hire Solutions Architects who would be focused on creating workflow solutions (called templates) that can be sold "as is" to many customers and require a minimum of customization. Mary and I both work on creating different credit card related templates for First Data Resources. I have attached an edited position description for interested students. We are looking for people who will graduate in May, and we are extremely flexible on start dates. Any interested candidates can check out our web page at www.pegasystems.com. Feel free to call or e-mail either Mary or myself for more information and a fax number to send in a resume.
