LOGICON TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC., provides engineering and research
support to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Crew System Interface
Division through our Dayton Ohio operations.

We have an immediate opening for the following senior position:

Senior Human Factors Engineer

Human Effectiveness Directorate
Air Force Research Laboratory
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton OH.


* JOB DUTIES:
-------------

Duties include human factors support for a variety of operator
performance studies conducted to facilitate the application of advanced
crewstation/workstation display and control concepts. This support
includes:

1.) Experimental design and implementation of target detection studies;
2.) Performing subject matter literature reviews; 
3.) Data analysis, interpretation, and presentation; 
4.) Oral and written communication of results; 
5.) Preparation/quality assessment of actual and simulated sensor 
    imagery.

Additional tasks involve proposal writing, preparing materials for
project reviews, conducting demonstrations and briefings, and
interacting with various customers. Opportunities exist for conference
presentations and journal publications. 


* QUALIFICATIONS:
-----------------

The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of the Theory of Signal
Detection and knowledge of SAS. 

A graduate degree in Human Factors Engineering, Experimental Psychology
or a related field is required. A Ph.D. is preferred; however,
candidates with MasterŐs degrees will also be considered. 

The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident,
and he / she must have (or be able to obtain) a security clearance at
the 'Secret' level.
