Human Factors Intern Arthur D. Little is a world leader in management and technology consulting with more than 100 years of experience. We offer consulting services in three areas: technology and product development, management consulting, and environmental, health, and safety consulting. Our corporate headquarters are located in Cambridge, MA near the Alewife T-station. Interns must be able to apply human factors concepts/methods to wide variety of products/situations, and will be exposed to all stages of the product development process - problem definition, research, brainstorming, concept selection, development, implementation, evaluation and analysis. Product areas range from consumer products to medical instrumentation to military clothing and equipment systems. Some typical tasks may include: · investigating test methodologies · performing Internet searches · reviewing text books and journals for relevant information · developing questionnaires · reviewing test procedures · creating test schedules · coordinating test participants. Interns at Arthur D. Little can expect applications of their studies that are fun, practical, and educational while gaining relevant human factors experience in the field of Product Design consulting. All work is team-based but relies heavily on individually led efforts. Interns must possess strong written, as well as oral, communication skills.
