Graphic User Interface Designer: Chicago, IL USA
SPSS Inc., a $110 million Chicago-based software company, with a large GUI
design staff is seeking a GUI Designer. SPSS offers a creative, open work
environment in a growing, public company located in downtown Chicago. This
position will be responsible for user interface design in a Visual
C++/MFC/Java environment. We are seeking an experienced GUI Design
professional who can show examples of successful designs and can participate
in all phases of the product development cycle from user profiling and
product requirements definition through prototyping, design and user testing
in our new in-house lab facility. We would prefer candidates with
commercial, business-oriented software experience. SPSS is an innovative,
design-centric software firm that values elegant, common sense design
skills. Experience with prototyping tools and a working knowledge of
statistics a plus. 
Job Requirements: 
*	Masters or doctorate in human factors, industrial or graphic design,
or related field. 
*	Art and/or design training highly desirable. 
*	Experience with Visual Basic, Macromedia Director, or other
prototyping tools a plus.
