Conclusion
The new DMDRP has still a lot of challenges to overcome, but overall the summer start was a good one. Base material clamps were redesigned. A new design for the wire feeder holder and the torch was discussed. Issues of variable control of the height and width of the wire feeder, oscillating molten wire, warping of base material, and design and implementation of a laser feedback real time system have yet to be resolved.
