Teiichi Ando
Professor
Teiichi Ando (Ph. D. Colorado School of Mines) is a Research Associate
Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Tufts University.
His research areas of interest are mainly: Materials processing via
controlled spray forming, powder metallurgy, rapid solidification
processing and thermo-mechanical processing. Processing-structure-property
relationships in rapid solidification processing. Materials processing
for advanced manufacturing. He is currently in charge of the following
projects: Process-Structure Relationships in Droplet-Based Manufacturing
Processes (NSF). Process-Structure Relationships in the
Uniform-Droplet Spray Process (AIM-DOE). Processing of Aluminum Alloys
for Enhanced Superplasticity (LLNL). Professor Ando has 4
registered patents and published over 50 papers. He is a member of
TSM-AIME, ASM International and SIGMA XI.
