One Ton of CO2
Here is a picture of "The Cube", a structure built by Dave Ames, a 9th grade science teacher at Cohasset High School. It is 27'x 27'x 27' which represents the size of one ton of CO2 - what the average American puts into the atmosphere every 2 days.
The Cube was test assembled at CHS. It is very sturdy, built of 8" sonotube, has wooden bases and wooden caps with pulleys. His students were delighted when it went up. Dave's plan is for the students to paint it and then re-assemble it on the Cohasset Town Green for Earth Day.
