Nancy Robie – Wright Center Fellow
Nancy came to the Wright Center from the Higgins Middle School in Peabody, MA where she shares her passion for earth science with 7th grade students.
Nancy holds a degree in environmental science from the University of Colorado in Boulder, a MBA from Babson College and a MAT from Simmons College.
During her fellowship year Nancy will be working on the stations that she uses in her classroom and developing a web site for use by students and to share her work with other teachers.
For fun Nancy likes to read, travel and kayak.
Interests:
- Teaching science so that all students experience hands-on activities and gather and use scientific data.
- Differentiating lessons so that all learners can successfully understand science and gain skills as independent learners.
- Educational technology that helps struggling readers access written content independently.
- Having students consider science careers.
