Research Involving Humans Tufts University has two Institutional Review Boards (IRB)s that are responsible for ensuring that any research conducted under its auspices protects the rights and welfare of human subjects. All research involving human subjects must be reviewed by either the Health Sciences Campus IRB or the Social, Behavioral & Educational Research (SBER) (Medford Campus).
