Recombinant DNA Mandatory Training for Principal Investigators
Within the last couple of years, the recombinant DNA NIH guidelines have been the focus of increased scrutiny by the Office of Biotechnology Activities (OBA) at NIH. As part of this, many research institutions across the nation were inspected, including our own.
We recognize that many of you have been working with rDNA for years; however, there are significant changes that are important to be aware of. Therefore, to ensure that everyone working with these procedures and systems at Tufts University and Tufts Medical Center are aware of the regulations, we are requiring that all principal investigators complete a brief training video and a 10 question test.
To complete the recombinant DNA mandatory training for principal investigators, click here. Please note, this presentation also has an audio component.
Once you have finished watching the training video, complete the NIH guidelines training test. Please then print and send the completed test to:
Environmental Health and Safety Office
Posner 105, 200 Harrison Avenue
Boston Campus
Once the Environmental Health and Safety Office receives the test, it will be scored and you will be provided a certification of completion.
*REMINDER – The deadline for completion of this quiz is July 1, 2011.
