| IRB Meeting Dates IRB meetings are required for all protocols requiring full committee review* and for those expedited reviews brought to full committee by a reviewer. In order to ensure your protocol is given appropriate consideration all materials with appropriate signatures (protocol cover page, application, consent forms, recruiting materials, instrumentation, debriefing statements, translation and translation certifications, required education certificate) must be submitted by the deadlines indicated below for each meeting. ** Time is required for review by the IRB Administrator to provide feedback for changes, corrections, and additions and for the one week review period required for IRB members.
No August Meeting*** * There are no specific deadlines for protocols requiring exemption or expedited review. These are accepted on a rolling basis. Submission for these reviews submitted around the deadline dates for full review may be delayed due to the volume of full reviews. ** Please note that the approval of international research may require additional time due to requirements in other countries, negotiation of individual investigator agreements, and geographical and communication constraints. It is recommended that you plan at least three months prior to your desired study start date. *** The IRB does not meet in August; therefore, appropriate planning for summer research is essential. |
