Look Ahead & Give Back
Donna Apgar, J64
As an active member of the Tufts community, Donna Apgar, J64, has maintained many Jumbo friendships, served on her class reunion committees, and contributes annually to the Tufts Fund.
Donna has also included a gift in her will to support study abroad scholarships. "Although studying abroad was uncommon when I was a student, Dr. Seymour Simches encouraged me to spend a summer in France. I am very impressed with the variety of international programs offered today."
As a French teacher, she has accompanied students abroad, and recently retired from her role as the director of international learning at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, N.C. Donna looks forward to future travels and to moving back to her hometown, New Orleans. "I want my gift to support our future world citizens so that they may promote global understanding and preserve the earth.
