Arts and Sciences Applicants
The TuftsPlus program offers tuition scholarships to Tufts undergraduates who are admitted to a participating Graduate School of Arts and Sciences master's program. It also offers a streamlined application process: the GRE requirement is waived and only two letters of recommendation are required. Tufts undergraduates may apply for an early decision to TuftsPlus after completing their junior year. The minimum GPA requirement for the TuftsPlus varies by department and students interested in applying to a program should consult the department's website. Art and Art History The Department of Art and Art History offers master's degrees focused on a critical and historical understanding of the visual arts. Child Development The Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development graduate program integrates research and theory with practice. Concentrations are offered in clinical developmental psychology, cognitive development, educational studies, family studies, language and literacy, children with special needs, and new technologies and human development. French The Department of Romance Languages offers the master of arts degree in French language and literature. Students take ten upper-level courses in French literature in preparation for a two-part general examination that includes essay questions and an explication de texte. Music The Department of Music graduate program offers the unique opportunity to study broadly across four exciting sub-disciplines--composition, ethnomusicology, musicology, and theory--while receiving focused training in one of them. Occupational Therapy The Department of Occupational Therapy offers entry-level and post-professional master's degree programs. The entry-level program prepares students for occupational therapy careers as practitioners.
