The impact of nutrition on the brain in the aging process is the HNRCA?s number one scientific and research priority for 2011-2015. To meet our goals and build on our neuroscience capabilities, we are making two bold changes in 2011:
- Create a single, unified Neuroscience and Aging Laboratory
- Hire a leading international researcher to become the new Laboratory Director
The HNRCA Neuroscience and Aging Laboratory, under the interim leadership of Dr. Irwin Rosenberg, will sharpen the focus of the preceding two-lab structure by coalescing existing strengths towards a unified research direction.
A Search Committee, headed by Associate Director Dr. Sarah Booth, is actively seeking qualified candidates for a new Laboratory Director. The new Laboratory Director will be charged with enhancing the vision of this new laboratory and creating opportunities for collaboration in this important area.
The HNRCA is increasing its focus and investment in this strategic area as it provides the greatest opportunity for positive change, growth, and scientific collaboration.
