Senior Service Day

May 14, 2007

This presentation requires Flash.

On May 14, more than a hundred members of the Class of 2007 worked in Medford Square as part of Senior Service Day activities. There, they helped restore a large mural commemorating Medford's history as a hub of shipbuilding and planted flowers to beautify the area near City Hall. In the evening, they organized a community jazz concert featuring food and entertainment for all ages. Seniors Angie Lee, Dan Grant and Audrey Sherer coordinated the event, in conjunction with the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service and the city of Medford. In this multimedia presentation, Lee talks about the project and what it means not just for Medford, but for her and her fellow seniors.
