The International Affairs Office (IAO)

The International Affairs Office serves the Tufts University Health Sciences campus and its affiliated hospitals in all aspects of immigration regulations and procedures. This includes administration of the F-1 student visa program, the J-1 exchange visitor program, and the H-1B, O-1 and TN-1 employment visa programs.

The IAO provides orientation to all foreign students and scholars when they begin at Tufts University Health Sciences campus or one of its affiliated hospitals. Foreign students and scholars are welcome to visit the IAO for assistance and advice. We strongly recommend that the foreign student or scholar make an appointment before coming to the office.

In addition, the IAO provides training opportunities for foreign health care professionals in Tufts affiliated hospitals, ranging from formal training to observersation in various clinical and dental fields. The IAO also develops high-technology transfer programs for foreign institutions where Tufts faculty travel overseas to implement specific transfer programs.
