Regional Conference/National Conference
Tufts held the Regional Conference in January and next month members are attending the National Conference in San Francisco, California. Student travel is supported by the Office of Minority Affairs.
Black History Month
This year Tufts celebrated Black History Month by having a speaker series. Each week there was a different theme; the speakers were Tufts Alumni.
Round Table Discussion
SNMA holds discussion for student body on topics that affect the minority community, the topics range from interracial dating to Martin Luther King's dream of equality. We provide a place for the Tufts community to talk about race and learn from one another.
Bake Sale
During the holiday season a bake sale was held to raise money for the organization. All of the food was donated by classmates, faculty, and staff.
Multicultural Performing Arts Show
Every year a talent show is put on by fellow classmates and the Tufts community. The show was started to raise money for the Colleen Romain Scholarship Fund and is given to graduating high school students.
REACH - Springfield Weekend
Every April SNMA puts on an event for high school students from Springfield, MA that gives them insight to the medical field. Some of the events include an introduction to Physical Diagnosis and an Introduction to Anatomy.
Youth Science Enrichment Program (YSEP)
Every month elementary school girls from the Mother Caroline's Academy come up to learn more about science and medicine.
