Guatemala
 In
1988 APUA-Guatemala was established with assistance from the Pan
American Association and the Instituto de Nutricion de Centro American
y Panama, and currently has 45 members. The Board of Directors is
comprised of a microbiologist, a pediatrician infectologist, a pharmacist,
an adult infectologist, a veterinarian, a dentist, and an anthropologist.
Chapter objectives:
- Promote publications
in Guatemala, for example,
treatment protocols for the more common illnesses that
require antibiotherapy and the APUA Newsletter
- Develop
research projects and intervention projects in
the different areas represented by the Board of Directors
