APUA Comments on Public Health Action Plan to Combat Antimicrobial
Resistance
The Alliance for the Prudent
Use of Antibiotics (APUA) congratulates the Interagency Taskforce on
Antimicrobial Resistance for compiling the Draft Public Health Action
Plan and for bringing this important issue to the nation's attention.
We see this draft as an historic step in developing an effective national
campaign to curb antimicrobial resistance. We stand ready to help in
any way.
We offer our suggestions
in the spirit of collaboration to help shape the Final Action Plan.
As the only non-profit organization dedicated totally to the issue,
we offer the assistance of our affiliated scientific membership and
public health staff to assist in refining and implementing the Action
Plan.
