APUA Dominican Republic
APUA Dominican Republic was formed in May 1999 under the leadership of Jesus M. Feris, MD, Head of the Infectious Disease
Department, Robert Reid Cabral Children’s Hospital, Santo Domingo. The chapter has support from numerous health professionals in infectious diseases, epidemiology and microbiology. In addition to collaborations with the Children’s Hospital, the chapter is working with the Luis E. Aybar Hospital and Dr. Defillo National Laboratory, and is developing a small grant project. Membership in this chapter is expanding.
