APUA Nigeria
CHAPTER OVERVIEW
Founded in September of 2002, APUA Nigeria has been active with over 40 members. Members hail from all over Nigeria, gathering for general meetings to plan upcoming events and coordinate work.
The current mission of the organization is to discover the correlation between antibiotic failure and numerous variables such as source of manufacture, antibiotic content, effectiveness of regulatory agency guidelines, and compliance by importers.
CHAPTER ACTIVITIES
APUA Nigeria held a nationwide conference on prudent use of antibiotics in October of 2002 in Lagos. In addition, APUA Nigeria organized a press conference for major media to discuss rational use of antibiotics at which the coordinator was interviewed by the Guardian.
