APUA-Ecuador
is conducting a monthly program of continuing medical education directed
at general practitioners. The chapter is also hosting special meetings
to discuss the formation of a protocol for respiratory and particularly
strep infections due to the high incidences of these diseases. In addition,
the chapter has designed hospital protocols for prophylactic surgery.
The chapter is also putting forth efforts to expand and fortify the
surveillance network in Ecuador.
