APUA-Venezuela
was formed in the summer of 1999. Chapter Coordinator, Dr. Manuel Guzman
Blanco, is President of the Antibiotic Commission of the Pan American
Association for Infectious Diseases and Director of the Department of
Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at Caracas Medical Center. Initial
members of APUA-Venezuela include representatives from the Ministry
of Health and Social Assistance, the Pan American Health Organization,
academia, industry and various medical centers.
