| Installed Jan, 1999, the Bruker DPX replaces our AM400, which was traded in. Intended for ready access by our synthetic chemists, protein sample checking by the biochemists, and acquisition of 1D 15N spectra, the Bruker 300 also enables us to determine field-dependency of relaxation times and NOEs with a factor of two field variation. The low-cost DPX has two channels. It is equipped with a Bruker 5.2 cm bore 7.0 Tesla Ultra Shield magnet, BOSS-1 Shim System, Digital Lock, 50 Watts protons, 100 Watts on X nuclei. The spectrometer is equipped with a 5 mm 1H inverse probe, X nucleus decoupler, and a 10 mm Broadband observe probe. The Silicon Graphics O2 computer is the same as for the DRX 600 (but with 11 Gbyte hard drive), and also runs XWINNMR. | ||||||||
